Assisi and Perugia

The mystical town of Assisi, the home of St. Francis and one of the very special spiritual towns in the world. You will meet our English speaking guide for a 3 hour tour of the city—visiting the Basilica of St. Francis with its famous frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue. Time permitting visits will also be made to the Gothic Church of St. Clare and the Church of Santa Maria degli
Angeli.

Brief stop for lunch and then on to Perugia, the capital of Umbria .You will walk through this lovely university city with a special visit to Piazza 4 Novembre—a square in the heart of Perugia, one of the grandest in Italy. The square houses the Prior’s Palace, the Great Fountain, the National Gallery of Umbria and the Gothic Cathedral of Perugia.
